It's Summer in London!

Hi all! Just a little update on what we've been doing since Italy (pretty much just work!) but we've had a few visitors that deserve a shout out! And keeping to my promise that you will make the blog if you come to see us, here it goes!

My cousin Amber's friends, Monica and Katie stopped in London for a few nights on their way to and from Croatia and Slovenia and stayed with us! It was fun to have them here to hang out! This is the only photo I have with both of them in it and it's pretty funny because Monica had a shampoo bottle explode in her bag on her flight to London. Normally, this isn't a funny situation but if you know Monica, it would be hilarious - sorry Monica! So anyway, here they are hanging out in our bathroom trying to clean up the mess!

Then our friend Allison was in town for work again and she came in early and spent last weekend with us! It was so fun hanging out and getting to spend some time with her because her last trip was so brief.

Here we are in Knotting Hill after a barbeque at one of Chad's coworkers flat!

And then on Sunday, we went to see Abbey Road, made famous by the Beatles (which is really close to our place and we didn't even know it!)

Chad got a picture of us walking across the street!

And then the rest of the time we did some shopping and lots of walking around and ended up getting a view of Big Ben with the lovely June summer skies - nice and grey!

So that is that! We are excited to relax this weekend and get some laundry done (it's been way too long!) It's actaully nice a sunny and pretty warm - so it's feeling more like summer. We are also going to this event tonight called Cries from the Heart. It's an evening put on by the Human Rights Watch with guest speakers from around the world including Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Patrick Stewart, and Ian Mekellen. It should be interesting! And then we're off to Belgium next weekend - which we are looking forward to! Hope all is well! Love, Kari and Chad

Yay, thanks for the shout out Kari!! It was super fun to see you guys and hang out in your flat! I love the pic of Monica cleaning her stuff...I wish we would have gotten one of her cursing at the dryer at the end of the trip too, hehe! I think you convinced me to finally join Facebook...I'll have to "friend" you when I join! Take care and keep in touch!
